With a seven-year legacy, Latina Cool proudly evolves into Brilla Latina, a comprehensive media platform that empowers Latinas with content, community, and resources to shine in their entrepreneurial, professional, and personal lives.
Brilla Latina is a part of Brilla Media, a Latinx media and entertainment company founded by Ángela Sustaita-Ruiz and Manny Ruiz, creators of Hispanicize and pioneers in Hispanic social media marketing, influencer industries, and Latino press release sectors, as well as the first network of Hispanic online media companies.
Our Story
Brilla Latina is the successor to LatinaCool.com, launched in 2015 by digital media veteran Sandra Ortiz-Juárez. Sandra began her career as a digital media journalist at AOL Latino and later honed her skills at renowned media publications such as CafeMom (now Wild Sky Media) and Meredith Group (now DotDash Meredith), where she served as Director of Digital Hispanic Media.
After seven years in the market, Latina Cool found a new home within Brilla Media Ventures, a digital media platform founded by Hispanic digital market pioneers Manny Ruiz and Angela Sustaita-Ruiz, renowned for their success with Hispanicize, the largest platform for multicultural trendsetters and social influencers.
The combined experience and vision of the three partners have brought Brilla Latina to life, a bilingual 360-degree media platform empowering Latinas with content, community, and resources to excel in every aspect of their lives.
