Ahead of the ‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’ premiere this week, let’s take a look at Jenna Ortega’s most iconic outfits inspired by the original film.
Jenna Ortega is having a moment. The Latina trailblazer is making her mark as one of today’s Hollywood it-girls —and at the same time— serving themed looks that make her style even more iconic. We love to see it!
In anticipation of her upcoming movie Beetlejuice Beetlejuice (premiering September 6), the actress with Puerto Rican and Mexican roots is stepping up her wardrobe game, echoing the memorable looks from the original comedy-horror film and beyond. With the help of her fashion stylist Enrique Melendez, she’s recreating some of the original film’s outfits (and others inspired by it), making them her own. And yes, this is the same stylist behind Ortega’s epic Wednesday (2022) looks!
To get ready for Beetlejuice Beetlejuice —directed and produced by Tim Burton—let’s check some of our favorite Ortega outfits from her press cycle.
The Iconic Red Dress
This look is breathtaking. According to Melendez, the dress was inspired by “none other than Winona/Lydia Deetz’s iconic red wedding dress from the original @beetlejuicemovie.”
Would you have ever thought of reimagining Lydia’s wedding dress like this? Incredible.
Teal and Black Dress
Another stylish look features Ortega in Demi Couture by British-American fashion designer Harris Reed. “My paper doll @jennaortega in full up-cycled wallpaper Demi Couture for the London premiere of Beetlejuice,” Reed wrote online. The look was inspired by sculptures from the original film. How’s that for creativity?
Reed also thanked Melendez and Ortega: “A massive, massive thank you to @mrenriquemelendez for reminding all of us that fashion should be fun and for always bringing the most fabulous briefs. Thank you, Jenna, for supporting my fluid London label.”
Burgundy Suit
Ortega’s burgundy outfit, designed by Paul Smith, echoes Michael Keaton’s Beetlejuice character’s iconic suit from the wedding scene in the original film. And let’s just say Ortega elevated its elegance.
Who said a simple yet powerful suit couldn’t make a fashion statement?
Other Looks
And that’s just the surface of Ortega’s press looks. She’s also been spotted in a striped black and grey skirt and blazer ensemble and a striped long skirt and top that remind us of Beetlejuice’s iconic stripes.
As the nationwide premiere gets closer, we can only hope the talented Latina actress posts more photos of her Beetlejuice Beetlejuice collection, leaving us wanting more.
Is it too early to dream about her upcoming Wednesday press cycle looks? Just kidding. ¡Todo a su tiempo!
