This Privacy Policy describes how Brilla Media, LLC, together with its partners and affiliates (collectively, “Brilla Media,” “we,” “us,” and “our”) collects, uses, and discloses your information when you visit websites (including mobile-optimized versions) and applications that have an authorized link to this Privacy Policy (each a “Site” and collectively, “Sites”). We receive information about you from a variety of sources, including through your use of the Sites and through your use of various third-party websites and social media networks. When you visit the Sites, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

What does this Privacy Policy cover?

This Privacy Policy covers our treatment of your personally identifiable information (“Personally Identifiable Information”), which is information that we can use to identify you as an individual. Personally Identifiable Information includes data such as your name, username, password, age, email address, and other information that we associate with Personally Identifiable Information. This Privacy Policy also covers our treatment of any Personally Identifiable Information that our business partners share with us or that we share with our business partners.

Except as specified in this Privacy Policy, this Privacy Policy does not cover any Personally Identifiable Information that you may provide to us using communication methods other than via the Internet. In addition, certain portions of our Sites may be subject to additional privacy disclosures, which will be posted only on the applicable Site.

This Privacy Policy does not cover the activities of third parties that we do not own or control but that may be linked to or accessible through our Sites (“Third Party Services”). Examples of Third Party Services include when you log into Facebook and Twitter while using or visiting the Sites, or when you leave our Sites via a link to a website operated by a third party. What information do we collect?

Information you provide to us:

We collect Personally Identifiable Information that you choose to provide to us when you interact with our Sites. For example, if you sign up for our mailing list or to receive push notifications, you may be asked for your name and email address, and we will collect this information from you.

Certain features of the Site, such as creating a personalized RetroPop Media calendar, may require you to log in or otherwise connect your Third Party Service account (such as Facebook or Twitter) to our Sites. By logging in and using a Third Party Service’s login or connecting your Third Party Service account to our Sites, you are providing your Personally Identifiable Information to us and to third parties, such as the third party providing the Third Party Service. You may also be providing your Personally Identifiable Information to Mailchimp, which we may use to manage authentication through a Third Party Service and our mailing list. Information we collect about you:

Site Usage Information. We automatically collect certain types of information about activities on our Sites, such as the number and frequency of visitors to our Sites. This information is aggregated and anonymized or de-identified, and does not identify individual users like you. Third Party Services may allow you to link your accounts on Third Party Services such as Facebook and Twitter to our Sites (“Social Media Accounts”). If you link your Social Media Accounts to our Sites, we may receive information from the Third Party Service about you. Any information we receive from the Third Party Service will be governed by the terms and conditions of the Third Party Service and any privacy controls you have set on your Social Media Account with that Third Party Service. The Third Party Service may also have access to information you provide to us or activities you conduct on our Sites while you are logged in to your Social Media Account with that Third Party Service, and this access will be governed by the terms and conditions of the Third Party Service and any privacy controls you have set on your Social Media Account with that Third Party Service. We encourage you to review the policies of your Third Party Service before linking your Social Media Account.

Email Communications. If you send us an email to which we respond, or have subscribed to our newsletter or a similar service that allows us to send you emails, we may receive email activity data from your email provider and may share it with Mailchimp, our mailing list management provider. We use this data to understand and improve our email communications and the Sites. If you do not wish to receive emails from us, you may opt out by clicking the “unsubscribe” link in any email we send you. Please note that you may not opt ​​out of certain communications from us, such as administrative information regarding the Sites.

Device Identifiers. Campaigns or events may involve goods or services from third parties. You may participate in such campaign or event through our Sites or on a different website that is linked to/from our Sites. If you use a Third Party Service login to access the Sites, you may have additional or different login protections through that Third Party Service, which will be governed by the Third Party Service’s Terms of Use. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of Third Party Services, and you should read the policies of the Third Party Service before using your login with that Third Party Service to access our Sites.

Children’s Privacy

The Sites are not intended for use by children, especially those under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect or solicit Personally Identifiable Information from anyone under the age of 13 or knowingly allow such persons to register to use any features of the Site.

RetroPop Media does not encourage children to participate by providing us with personally identifiable information. We ask that children under the age of 13 not submit any personal information to us.

If you are located outside of the United States, please be aware that any information you provide to us will be transferred to and processed in the United States where laws regarding the processing of Personally Identifiable Information may be less stringent than the laws in your country.

What options do I have?

If you have provided Personal Data as part of your use of your Social Media Account with a Third Party Service, you will need to change or access your Personal Data through your Social Media Account with that Third Party Service. You will not be able to access or change such Personally Identifiable Information through our Sites.

If you wish to limit the types of data we collect about you through Google Analytics, you can do so using Google’s functionality. You can find out more on Google’s site.

If you do not wish to receive email communications from us, you may opt out of specific email communications or all of our email communications by clicking the “unsubscribe” link in any email we send you. Please note that if you do not want to receive legal notices from us, such as this Privacy Policy, such legal notices will still govern your use of the Service, and you are responsible for reviewing such legal notices for changes. Please note that you may not opt ​​out of certain administrative communications regarding the Site.

If you have used an opt-out mechanism described in this Privacy Policy, but then decide to use a service or participate in an activity that requires us to contact you or share your information with a third party, your previous opt-out will not apply to that service or your participation.

Please note that some of the opt-outs described above use browser cookies or device controls, and are specific to the browser or device you are using to access our Sites. California and Canadian Users: Your California Privacy Rights.

California’s “Shine the Light” law, Civil Code Section 1798.83, requires certain businesses to respond to requests from California customers inquiring about the businesses’ practices relating to the disclosure of personally identifiable information to third parties for the third parties’ direct marketing purposes. Alternatively, such businesses may have a policy of not disclosing customers’ personally identifiable information to third parties for the third parties’ direct marketing purposes if the customer has exercised an opt-out choice of such information sharing. This Privacy Policy explains our practices and how you can opt out of having your information shared with third parties for the third parties’ direct or indirect marketing purposes.
